The course focuses on three academic skills: research, critical reading, and writing. We will walk students through the basic knowledge, principles and advanced strategies of these skills. The main goal of the course is that students can research new knowledge, critically assess and engage with various types of sources, and present their research in both written and verbal language.

We incorporate critical social issues into our lectures, learning materials, class discussions, and homework to stimulate students’ interest and engagement. Therefore, students will become aware of various contemporary social issues and be able to delve deeper into any topic of their investigation.
